PM Modi's US Visit: Key Highlights from the Diaspora Event

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive gathering of Indian-Americans in New York, marking another significant moment in the growing relationship between India and the United States. The event, titled ‘Modi & US’, took place at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, attracting tens of thousands of attendees from the Indian diaspora.

During his speech, PM Modi spoke about India's remarkable progress in recent years, emphasizing the nation's growing role on the global stage. He expressed his gratitude to the Indian community, referring to them as India's "brand ambassadors" and highlighting their contributions to strengthening the ties between India and the US. Modi described the Indian-American community as a crucial link in bringing the two great democracies closer together.

The prime minister also acknowledged President Joe Biden's warm hospitality during their bilateral talks in Delaware, where they discussed key aspects of the India-US relationship. The visit coincided with the annual Quad Summit, attended by leaders from the US, Australia, Japan, and India, further cementing India's position in global diplomacy.

Following the diaspora event, PM Modi participated in a roundtable meeting with top CEOs in New York, where he engaged with leading business leaders from the US, fostering deeper economic collaboration.

Looking ahead, PM Modi is set to attend and address the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly tomorrow, where he will continue to advocate for India’s role in shaping the future of the global order.
